Cianfrone Architect Inc. is a Hamilton based consulting firm offering architectural design services. The company was established and incorporated by Ontario Charter in 1990. The firm maintains a talented group of designers and technicians where personal attention is given to each project. This continued commitment to providing quality service has ensured client satisfaction in design, contract documentation, budget, review and post construction services. The majority of our work is for the commercial, municipal and institutional sectors in the Hamilton and surrounding areas. Although most of our work is directly for the owner, we are also associated with contractors, or other consultants in the formation of design-build teams or joint ventures when appropriate. In addition to new projects, we have completed numerous renovation projects, some requiring restoration of facades and interiors. Renovation projects require a different expertise. While designing around existing conditions, it becomes important to make the correct decisions as what can be economically saved, up-graded, or extended and what must be removed or supplemented. Much of this expertise comes with experience on past projects. Throughout all our work we minimize surprises during construction by doing a thorough investigative job during the design stage. Aside from minimizing extras and maintaining our reputation, this is good business sense as it takes more time to deal with changes correctly during the design stage rather than during construction stage. JAMES ADAM, PROJECT DESIGNER

Principal Architect responsible for Project Administration, Design Development and preparation of Contract Documents. EDUCATION: Masters of Architecture, University of Manitoba, 1983 Bachelor of Arts, Majoring in Urban Geography, University of Western Ontario, 1979 PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS: Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) Hamilton Society of Architects (HSA) LEED Accredited Professional (LEED*AP) EXPERIENCE: Mr. Cianfrone is the Principal Project Architect and Design Architect with experience in the design and development of a large range of projects involving new construction and renovations for municipal, institutional, and commercial buildings. A great deal of his experience has been gained through his involvement from the conceptual stage, through design, to construction review, and post-construction follow-up. During his extensive background he has been involved in numerous projects with McMaster University, Wilfrid Laurier University, The City of Hamilton, multinational corporations, and private developers.

POSITION: Mr. Adam heads the design team at Cianfrone Architect Inc. His broad background includes extensive experience with programming of user needs, and establishing design concepts and related matters for numerous institutional, commercial and residential projects. Although most of his time is spent on design, he also is involved in all aspects of the practice. His skills include architectural illustration, which has proven valuable in developing and communicating design concepts. EXPERIENCE: Mr. Adam has extensive experience with a diverse range of projects in his 25 years in the architectural field including award winning residential and institutional projects. His experience includes the design of institutional projects, municipal buildings, commercial projects and residential developments. Having spent time with a design-build construction company, Mr. Adam also has had first hand experience with the construction process. This experience has been valuable in developing a realistic cost conscious design approach.
